Our mission is to provide the highest quality barbecue and grilling techniques using traditional time-honored methods to satisfy the needs of every client and give them the very best value and service for their buck. Cougar Canyon BBQ always serves the finest quality "homemade" food, including our secret BBQ sauces, marinades and rubs. We use old family recipes and the freshest locally grown meats and vegetables available.

Our founder, Jimmy B, had his passion for cooking and serving the public ignited at the young age of 8.  He spent many years as the official taste tester in his PaPa Chuck’s successful family bakery on the beautiful Oregon Coast.
Jimmy B and his cooking talents eventually landed at Oregon State University where after earning his BBB degree (business, baseball, and BBQ!), he took his aspirations and talents to the land Down Under. While playing baseball for the Perth Heat, he continued to hone his cooking passions by seeking advice from the best of the local “barbie” masters.  He learned authentic preparation styles and dishes from genuine Aussie cooks.
Upon his return to the States, Jimmy B’s excitement for BBQ simmered like a good sauce as he worked in the corporate world. During that time, he was a faithful “understudy” of Grant Mckillip (Mckillips Catering of St. Paul, Oregon - www.mckillipscatering.com) learning to master the art of on-site open pit BBQ.

Now, Jimmy B has realized his dream of creating the best BBQ around with the creation of Cougar Canyon BBQ. Friends and family agree…it’s about time Jimmy shared his well-developed BBQ talents!  We think you’ll agree, too!
